LeapFrog® School Support® Policies

All service and repair issues, as well as returns and exchanges, are handled directly by LeapFrog School and our authorized distributors. Please see below for detailed policy information.

LeapFrog School Return/Exchange Policy for Products

Any product purchased may be returned for a refund, credit to a purchase order, or credit to a customer account (contingent upon initial purchase payment terms), provided the product is returned within 30 days from the date of receipt. To return product:

  1. Call LeapFrog School customer support at 1-800-883-7430 to discuss the nature of your return and to alert us of your intentions. When you call, please have your initial purchase information available — either your school's Purchase Order number or the LeapFrog School sales order number from your invoice or packing list.
  2. All returns must include original packaging.
  3. All returns must be marked with an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number prior to shipping back to LeapFrog School Returns Warehouse in order for the account to be credited. The return authorization process will begin upon your call to customer support. A customer service representative will contact you within five business days with the RMA number and the warehouse address. Both of these must be clearly marked on the shipping carton.
  4. Returned materials are shipped at the customer's expense to the provided warehouse address.
  5. Credit is issued upon receipt of product.

For non-defective exchanges, all of the above procedures apply. In most instances, credit will be issued for product cost only (excludes shipping and tax charges) to the customer account, and a new purchase order must be written and submitted for the desired material.

LeapFrog School Services Expiration Policy

This policy applies to all support services that are offered by LeapFrog School now and in the future. LeapFrog School support services expire one year after the invoice date. LeapFrog School support services cannot be returned or exchanged for other LeapFrog School support services or LeapFrog School products. When scheduling support services, we recommend that you contact us at least 30 days in advance of your need for services.

LeapFrog School Warranty

Products from LeapFrog School are warranted to the original purchaser only for a period of 12 months from the original purchase date, under normal use and service, against defective workmanship and material. This warranty is void if products are damaged by accident or other unreasonable use, neglect, abuse, battery leakage, improper installation, improper service, or other causes not arising out of defects in workmanship or materials. Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the purchase. LeapFrog School shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of any express warranty on our products. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose on our products is limited to the duration of this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. During the warranty period, your product(s) will either be repaired or replaced at LeapFrog School's discretion when you return it, shipping prepaid and with proof of purchase date as instructed by a LeapFrog School representative. In the event that your product is replaced, the replacement will be continued under the original warranty or for 30 days, whichever is longer.

Defective products are processed through our customer support department. Procedures for defective product(s) under warranty are as follows:

  1. Contact the customer support department of LeapFrog School at 1-800-883-7430 and explain your problem to one of our experienced service agents. In many cases, potential defects can be troubleshot and rectified with a simple phone call or replacement part.
  2. In the event that a customer service representative indicates the possibility of a defect, please pack the product(s) with a brief note describing the problem into a shipping-safe box and mail the item(s) to your customer service representative's attention. We will provide the shipping address and contact name.
  3. Once your product(s) is/are received, diagnostic evaluations will be run and the product will either be repaired or replaced at our expense.
